Full Job Description
Qualified Mental Health Professional – Community Services (QMHP-CS)

Role Responsibilities

The QMHP-CS provides direct services to both youth and adult individuals diagnosed with chronic, serious mental illness. Responsibilities include: assessing, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and linking patients to community resources and service providers. The QMHP-CS also provides skills building, psychosocial rehab and crisis intervention services. Other key responsibilities for this position consist of developing the recovery plan and completing the Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA) or the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) for patients on the assigned caseload. Documentation and assessments must meet all applicable standards and established performance benchmarks. The QMHP-CS performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Must have excellent engagement, time management and organizational skills. Routine hours are 8:00 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday with flexibility for schedule changes to allow for appointments outside of routine hours. Must have reliable vehicle for transportation. The QMHP-CS reports directly to the Clinic Manager and is responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of compliance policy.

Salary

90% $20.27 hour to start;
95% $21.40 hour at 6 mos. with satisfactory performance
100% $22.52 hour at 1 year with satisfactory performance
Required Experience

Preferred Experience

1 year of work experience providing direct services within a Behavioral Health or Social Service setting
Skills, Education and/or Certifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or human services related field
Texas driver’s license in good standing as defined by Texana Center’s procedure

Job Related Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform SAMA and CPR.
Must be able to perform moderate lifting and carrying (15-44#), pushing, stooping, repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking, sitting and twisting. Must have ability to see, write, operate office equipment, operate a motor vehicle and have depth perception.
