Reporting to the Brand Content Manager, this role requires a strategic approach to building meaningful content plans. As an important leader in our ability to drive long-term brand loyalty, in-depth knowledge of key content platforms, how they interact, and a consumer-centric mindset will be critical for the success of this individual. Candidates will be expected to display problem solving and be detail oriented in driving an idea through creation and ultimately distribution. Excellent communication and focus on delivering quality content on time and on budget are a pre-requisite for this position.
Job Description:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism or other relevant field of study
Work Experiences:
2 years of work experience in content planning and production
Experience working with brand strategy, consumer marketing, and social media either on the client or agency side a plus
Skills:
Adept at converting brand strategy into value add content plans that support key business metrics
In-depth knowledge of digital content distribution channels and how to develop the right content for each to drive authentic consumer engagement
Organized with strict attention to detail, and meeting critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills – scrappy player focused on how to maximize non-working investment
Self-motivated with the ability to meet and exceed position requirements under minimal direction and supervision
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external
Always professional, effective, and ethical as an individual contributor and member of a team
Proficient use of software programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite
Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
Responsibilities:
Manage the relationship with creative agency responsible for creative production process for all content: pre-production, production, and post production
Manage the creation process of creative briefs, concept development, production and post-production
Drive top of funnel engagement that supports traffic and conversion to sales at academy.com and brick and mortar locations
Lead idea generation and content planning based on strategic priorities set by the Brand
Responsible for execution of innovative and customer centric content across distribution channels through a strong understanding of current creative content
Partner with agencies and vendors to drive innovative content ideation and production
Collaborate with the organization to ensure planning and distribution is managed effectively
Continuously drive consumer engagement and loyalty by being an advocate for the Academy brand
Develop and execute business process to maximize efficiency and cost for all productions
Leverage insights and analytics to optimize content production
Manage budgets and reconciliation for necessary productions
Develop understanding of Academy policies, procedures, safety rules
