Dermatology - Physician - Morningside Heights - Manhattan, NY
The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking a compassionate Dermatologist to join an outpatient multi-specialty practice in the Uptown Manhattan!
The practice is located in Morningside Heights which is a neighborhood on the West Side of Upper Manhattan in New York City. Morningside Heights is located in Upper Manhattan, bounded by Morningside Park to the east, 125th Street to the north, 110th Street to the south, and Riverside Park to the west. The neighborhood is zoned primarily for high-rise apartment buildings, though ground-floor stores are also present on Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. In practice, much of the neighborhood is composed of structures for the neighborhood’s religious or academic institutions.
The ideal candidate will provide high quality dermatology services to adults. Candidates will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction. In addition, we would like our talented physician candidates to have a passion for outpatient medicine and be fully committed to mission of Mount Sinai Health System.

Position Qualifications:
Medical Degree from an Accredited University
New York Medical License
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Dermatology
Some experience preferred
Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve
Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
About Morningside Heights Manhattan:
Numerous academic buildings in Morningside Heights contain a city or national landmark designation. On the Columbia campus, these sites include Low Memorial Library, a National Historic Landmark as well as a city-designated interior and exterior landmark. Other NRHP sites on the Columbia campus include Philosophy Hall, where FM radio was invented; Pupin Hall, a National Historic Landmark where the first experiments on the fission of uranium were conducted by Enrico Fermi; and Casa Italiana on the East Campus, which is also a city landmark. St. Paul’s Chapel is designated as a city landmark but not as a national landmark. The Delta Psi, Alpha Chapter building on Riverside Drive is also listed on the NRHP. Additionally, the Union Theological Seminary complex is listed on the NRHP, and parts of the structure are also a city-designated landmark. Tom’s Restaurant, on Broadway at 112th Street, was featured in the 1980s song «Tom’s Diner» by Suzanne Vega, an alumna of Barnard College. The West End Bar served especially as a meeting place for writers of the Beat Generation. In 2006, the establishment was absorbed into a Cuban restaurant chain, Havana Central. Later, the space was a bar and restaurant known as Bernheim & Schwartz before closing again. The Hungarian Pastry Shop has long served as a regular place of visitation for students and professors at Columbia University, writers, and other residents of Morningside Heights and the Upper West Side.
The area is served by the New York City Subway at the Cathedral Parkway110th Street and 116th StreetColumbia University stations of the IRT BroadwaySeventh Avenue Line (served by the 1 train). Additionally, New York City Bus service includes the M4, M5, M11, M60 SBS and M104 routes. These routes travel largely northsouth through Morningside Heights. Columbia Transportation and Barnard Public Safety Shuttle also operate through the area.
