IT Support Engineer

We are looking for an US based, all-round IT Support Engineer acting as 1st line of contact for our US and Canada based operation as well as being part of the Global IT team operating from the Netherlands.
We are looking for a proactive person, who actively reaches out to our end user and store staff and is capable of solving 90% of the problems without escalation. That’s why we want to hire some-one who has knowledge of relevant technologies and perfectly understands the needs of our store and office personnel. Totally agree? Please read on.
What are your responsibilities:
You are the local hands, eyes, voice and ears for the US & Canadian Scotch teams as well as the Global IT team based in the Netherlands
Self starter and motivated
You will be the first point of escalation during US & Canada office /store opening hours
You will solve the daily problems and/or failures with regard to hardware, network and software in the Scotch & Soda Offices and Stores
You will remotely guide and manage 3rd party support teams throughout the US & Canada
You will install, configure and maintain laptops and other IT equipment onsite or remote
For incidents you are not able to solve yourself, you gather all relevant information, prior to escalating to the global IT team in the Netherlands
You take actively part in the global IT team and will come up with recurring problems, trends and improvement suggestions
You work on global Scotch & Soda IT tasks when possible or needed outside of regional office hours (Follow the Sun support principle)
College graduate in IT or similar education
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in a similar “brought” IT role
The ability to multi-task and set priorities in a dynamic and fast environment
Our ideal candidate
At least 5 years of experience as a IT Support Engineer
Microsoft Windows Operating system
Apple Mac Operating System
Microsoft Office 365 suite
Basic network knowledge (Nice to have: CCNA certification)
Experience with Point of Sale systems & Store automation
Salary expectations 65k
