Academic Advisor

Overview

The Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality at the School of Professional Studies is seeking an Academic Advisor to advise students on academic programs, policies and procedures and provide career counseling. This individual will interpret University and school policies and recommend exceptions to policy, when appropriate.

Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree

Required Experience:
2 years’ relevant experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience advising students at the college or university level.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems. Ability to supervise staff. Knowledge of standard office software.
